Welcome

As newly elected President, I look forward to continued service in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. Gamma Zeta Zeta Chapter boasts a legacy of more than 50 years of dedication to the social condition and I am pleased to build upon the foundation set from the trailblazers who have come before me. I pay homage to our Immediate Past President LaRita Smith who has served as President from 2003-2007 and a member of our Executive Board for more than 10 years. What a phenomenal track record of sacrifice and ardor! We thank you.

As we usher in the next 50 years, Gamma Zeta Zeta strives to realize the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood with innovation and higher levels of excellence.

During the 2006-2007 Sorority Year, initiatives included the donation of items for the holiday season, serving the homeless and shut-in, participating in the Komen Race for the Cure, a City-Wide baby shower to benefit young mothers, an annual book bag and school supply drive, and a rites of passage program for young women. In addition, we were able to grant two scholarships to deserving graduating high school students!

Volunteer collaborations included Directions for youth and Families, Faith Mission, March of Dimes, and the Causey Foundation.

Programs of distinction for the 2007-2008 will involve our Girls to Pearls Rites of Passage Program, Z-HOPE programmatic thrust, national Voter Registration Drive in collaboration with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Beta Omicron Sigma Chapter, and so much more.

There is much to be done in the community and it is with compassion of spirit, zeal of heart, and fortitude of mind, that I embark upon this worthy endeavor. I am grateful to my Sorors who join me as we strive to positively impact the community for the next fifty years and beyond!

Sisterly,

Monique A. Hall, Esq
