Scholarship Recipients

Emai' will graduate from Eastmoor Academy High School (EAHS) and intends to attend North Carolina A&T. She intends to pursue a career in nursing.  It is her desire to become a nurse practitioner. Emai' is ranked #1 in her graduating class and holds a 4.3 cumulative grade point average. This valedictorian has maintained a 5.0 grade point average the duration of her senior year. 


She takes college courses at Capital University while in high school and is a part of the Columbus City Schools Senior to Sophomore Program. Emai' Daniel is captain of the drill team, member of the Senior Senate, Leader in the EAHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Secretary for the Eastmoor Academy National Honor Society, a Zonta Leadership Award Recipient, a Delta Gem, a member of the International Thespian Society, and a Positive Teen Dating Ambassador.  


She readily volunteers with Mayor Andrew Ginther's CelebrateOne infant mortality educational initiative. Emai' is a child nursery attendant and Mt. Vernon AME.  She is currently completing a competitive internship at Grant Medical Center and works part-time at DSW.  Emai' Daniel was recognized by Who's Who Black Columbus as an Emerging Young Leader.

Asali will graduate from Eastmoor Academy High School (EAHS) and intends to attend North Carolina A&T. He intends to pursue Architecture.  Asali Hamilton holds a 3.56 cumulative grade point average and is ranked in the top 15% of his class. Asali excels in Advance Placement and Biomedical Courses. 


Asali Hamilton is a scholar-athlete. He is a state qualifier in Cross-Country and Track. Asali Hamilton is a member of the Eastmoor Academy Fellowship of Christian Athletes, an Alpha Esquire, a Youth Leader in ONUS, and a waiter at Family Affair Restaurant. Asali has studied abroad in Costa Rica while balancing the rigor of academics, community service, and athletics. 


He is currently completing a competitive internship at Moody-Nolan Architects.  He has received the Eastmoor Academy Outstanding Student Award in Social Studies and English.  Asali is an Ohio State University Upward Bound Program participant.  His volunteerism includes ProjectAlpha, Eastmoor Academy Beautification Day, Camp Counselor for the International Sports Group, and manager of the EAHS Girls Basketball Program. 


Kiara will graduate from Marion Franklin High School  and intends to attend The Ohio State University. Kiara will study pre-medicine and/or nursing. Kiara Hawkins is valedictorian of her senior class and currently holds a 4.1 cumulative grade point average and a 4.8 GPA the duration of her senior year.


She currently takes college courses at Columbus State Community College while in High School.  Kiara is a two sport varsity letter earner in Soccer and softball. She is a 1st Team All-City Selection in soccer. Kiara Hawkins is completing a selective internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Kiara Hawkins is a member of the Fort Hayes High School National Technical Honor Society and a member of the Marion Franklin High School National Honor Society. She has been recognized as a Marion-Franklin High School Math Student of the Year and a Skills USA Local Math Competition Winner.  Kiara is CPR and First Aid Certified and has acquired an OHSA Industry Healthcare Certification.


Her volunteerism includes the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, serving as a Fort Hayes Student Tour Leader, volunteering with the American Red Cross, and washing cars at her church; Lighthouse Ministries. She accomplishes all of this while working part time at Kroger.
